Where to sleep
Luogosanto
The B&B is located on the green hills of Luogosanto, 5 km from the village. The surrounding landscape is typical of the Mediterranean maquis: myrtle and arbutus bushes, small evergreen shrubs and cork and lentisk woods. The Stazzo that houses the B&B is a building dating back to the end of the 1800s, made entirely of exposed granite and with a rectangular layout. The façade, simple and linear, is formed by unbleached stones tied with lime or clay mortars. The roof is supported by a series of juniper beams on which the river canes rest, and therefore the tiles. During renovations, materials have been used that reflect the environmental resources available: cement for the floors, lime for the plastering of the walls and pipes for the ceiling.
The house is surrounded by a large garden with organic vegetable garden and fruit trees.
The interior is cozy, simple and well furnished.
The master bedroom, with private bathroom, has ceilings characteristic with what is known as incannicciato, which are canes (similar to bamboo) that are tied together to form the ceiling.
